I currently use Photobucket dot com to store my photos for free. (try it out) Once you have uploaded you photos to Photobucket you can click to edit the photo, in the edit screen click to resize your photo.
(Currently for this site I suggest you keep your pixels under 600 x 600 for better viewing) In Photobucket when typing in your new pixels you should be able to change one and the other will automatically adjust accordingly to keep the proportions consitant. Once you are happy with the size of your photo you can save it as a copy. Once save in your albums, you can then click on Direct Link and come back to the forum and attach it to any post.

But if you plan on participating in weekly/monthly contests you will have to upload to the Gallery. Photobucket allows you to download a copy of your newly edited photo, save it to your desktop and then upload it to the gallery

If you still have questions feel free pm me.
